About Chartwell House, 1760 Second Avenue
Built in 2001, this 34-story, red-brick apartment tower has 154 units. It was designed by H. Thomas O'Hara, and developed by Capital Real Estate, Ltd., and Fisher Brothers.
The project is named after Winston Churchill's home and was marketed with a bulldog, the image used to characterize the British figure.
The building features a full-time door staff and concierge, a fitness center, a full catering kitchen, a children's playroom, a sundeck, valet service, and bicycle storage. The apartments have granite kitchen countertops, solid maple cabinet doors, stainless steel kitchen appliances and Bottocino Florito marble in the bathrooms. Most units are one bedroom.
Chartwell House is located in the Upper East Side neighboring many other luxurious, high-rise apartment buildings.
